Notice Bringing the Proceeds of Criminal Conduct (Amendment) Act, 2025 into Force
The Minister of Finance of the Virgin Islands issued a statutory instrument declaring the effective date for the Proceeds of Criminal Conduct (Amendment) Act, 2025. Exercising powers under Section 1(2) of the Act, the Minister appointed June 6, 2025, as the date on which the legislation comes into force. VIRGIN ISLANDS STATUTORY INSTRUMENT 2025 NO. 58 PROCEEDS OF CRIMINAL CONDUCT (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2025 (No. 7 of 2025) A NOTICE MADE BY THE MINISTER OF FINANCE UNDER SECTION 1(2) OF THE PROCEEDS OF CRIMINAL CONDUCT (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2025 DECLARING THE DATE ON WHICH THE SAID ACT SHALL COME INTO FORCE [Gazetted 20th June, 2025] WHEREAS it is provided by section 1(2) of the Proceeds of Criminal Conduct (Amendment) Act, 2025 (No. 7 of 2025) that the said Act shall come into force on such date as the Minister may, by Notice published in the Gazette, appoint; NOW THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers vested in me, I hereby appoint the 6 th day of June, 2025 to be the date on which the Proceeds of Criminal Conduct (Amendment) Act, 2025 shall come into force.
