This notification officially modifies the Finance Division's previous S.R.O. 37(KE)/2010 to adjust the reporting threshold for Currency Transaction Reports. The new minimum reporting amount for transactions submitted to the Financial Monitoring Unit under the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010, is now set at two million rupees. This regulatory change takes effect immediately as of January 21, 2015.
S.R.O. 73 (I)/2015. In modification of Finance Division's S.R.O. 37(KE)/2010 dated 15 October, 2009, the minimum amount for reporting Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) to Financial Monitoring Unit under section 7 of the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010 (VII of 2010) shall be two million rupees, with immediate effect.
