From 16th–17th April 2026, Capital Markets Authority Uganda joined the Bank of Uganda for a two-day town hall engagement in Masindi aimed at enhancing public education and increasing awareness about investment opportunities within Uganda’s capital markets.
The engagement brought together members of the public, local business leaders, and stakeholders to discuss the role of capital markets in wealth creation and economic development. Participants were sensitized on various investment opportunities available in Uganda, including shares, unit trusts, and bonds.
During the session, Dickson Ssembuya our Director for Research & Market Development guided participants on how businesses can raise capital through listing on the stock exchange and other financing avenues within the capital markets ecosystem.
Furthermore, Lyn Tukei our communications and public relations manager emphasized the importance of informed investing and encouraged Ugandans to consider long-term wealth creation through regulated capital markets products.
The engagement reinforces CMA’s continued commitment to investor education and public awareness as the Authority celebrates 30 years of developing and regulating Uganda’s capital markets industry.
