Decision Amending the Minimum Value of Payment Transactions to be Processed in RTGS System
The Council of the Central Bank of Montenegro issued this decision on 27 May 2026 to amend the effective date for minimum payment transaction values in the RTGS system. The amendment replaces the original seven-day post-entry-into-force application period with a specific effective date of 20 June 2026. This regulatory change is published in the Official Gazette of Montenegro to ensure immediate legal enforceability.
Pursuant to Article 44 paragraph (2) item 3) of the Central Bank of Montenegro Law (OGM 40/10, 6/13, 70/17, 125/23) and Article 159 paragraph (2) of the Payment System Law (OGM 62/13, 111/22, 15/25, 140/25), the Council of the Central Bank of Montenegro, at its meeting held on 27 May 2026, passed the following DECISION amending the Decision on amending the Decision on Minimum Value of Payment Transactions to be Processed in RTGS System Article 1 In the Decision on Minimum Value of Payment Transactions to be Processed in RTGS System (OGM 65/26) in Article 3, the words: “and shall apply upon the expiry of seven days from the date of its entry into force” shall be replaced by the following: “and shall apply as of 20 June 2026”. Article 2 This Decision shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the “Official Gazette of Montenegro”. THE COUNCIL OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF MONTENEGRO
