SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA (INVESTOR PROTECTION AND EDUCATION FUND) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 2025

F. No. SEBI/LAD-NRO/GN/2025/256.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), the Board hereby makes the following regulations to further amend the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Investor Protection and Education Fund) Regulations, 2009, namely:-

1. These regulations may be called the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Investor Protection and Education Fund) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025.

2. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

3. In the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Investor Protection and Education Fund) Regulations, 2009 – I. in regulation 4, in sub-regulation (1), after clause (l), the following clause shall be inserted, namely, - “(la) monies transferred in accordance with clause (c) of sub-regulation (3) of regulation 38B of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Delisting of Equity Shares) Regulations, 2021;” II. in regulation 5, in sub-regulation (3), i. in clause ii, the words and symbol “and (l)” appearing after the words and symbol “clauses (j), (k)” and before the words “of sub regulation (1)” shall be substituted with the words and symbol “,(l) and (la)”. ii. in the proviso, in clause ii, the words and symbol “and (l)” appearing after the words and symbol “clauses (j), (k)” and before the words “of sub regulation (1)” shall be substituted with the words and symbol “,(l) and (la)”.
