Whereas issuance and circulation of Rupiah is addressed to provide cash in society as a legal tender in Republic of Indonesia; b. Whereas Bank Indonesia has appointed defined Governor of Bank Indonesia, so that need amendment of the sign on Rupiah currency; c. Now therefore, based on the considerations referred to in letter a and letter b, amandment of Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 11/21/PBI/2009 Concerning Issuance and Circulation Of The Year 2009 Issue Of Banknotes In The 2,000 (Two Thousand) Rupiah Denomination; In view of: 1. Act of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 1999 concerning Bank Indonesia (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 66 of 1999, Supplement to the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3843) as amended by Act of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 of 2009 (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2009, Supplement to the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4962);

Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 6/14/PBI/2004 concerning Issuance, Circulation, Revocation as Legal Tender, Withdrawal from Circulation, and Destruction of the Rupiah Currency (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 52 of 2004, Supplement to State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4338) as amended by Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 9/10/PBI/2007 (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 113 of 2007, Supplement to State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4762); HAS DECREED To enact : AMENDMENT OF BANK INDONESIA REGULATION NUMBER 11/21/PBI/2009 CONCERNING ISSUANCE AND CIRCULATION OF THE YEAR 2009 ISSUE OF BANKNOTES IN THE 2,000 (TWO THOUSAND) RUPIAH DENOMINATION Article I Several provisions in the Bank Indonesia Regulations Number 11/21/PBI/2009 concerning Issuance and Circulation of the Year 2009 Issue of Banknotes in the 2,000 (Two Thousand) Rupiah Denomination (State Gazette of Republic Indonesia Number 98 of 2009) shall be amended as follows:

1. The provisions of Article 4 shall be amended as follow: Article 4A The specifications of the currency in the 10,000 (ten thousand) rupiah denomination referred to in Article 1, for year of print starting from January 2010 until November 2010, are: a. color the dominant color printed on the obverse and reverse sides of the banknote is grey.

1. obverse side a) main image depicting a National Hero and underneath the inscription of “PANGERAN ANTASARI”; b) to the left of the main image and on the left and right of the center the Borneo ornament inscribed directly, and on the left and right of the upper the yellow curved line that will change to the yellowish green under ultra violet light; c) to the lower left of the main image, the words “BANK INDONESIA” inscribed horizontally, and directly underneath this inscription, the inscription of “DUA RIBU RUPIAH” (two thousand Rupiah); d) to the upper left of the main image, directly horizontal and to the right of the watermark with vertical direction, the inscription of number “2000”; e) to the left of the main image, directly below the number “2000” representing face value, a rectoverso picture that if held up to the light will reveal a complete logo of Bank Indonesia; f) to the left of the main image, underneath the rectoverso, inscription of the blind code which shaped rectangular; g) to the right of the main image inscription of the latent image “BI” word in rectangular frame in the shape of Borneo ornament which can be viewd from certain angle; h) the upper right of the main image, the national emblem of the “Garuda Pancasila”; i) to the right of the main image, the number “2009” representing year of print (number 2009 will be changed according to the year of print), inscription of “DEWAN GUBERNUR” (board of governors), signature of the Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia accompanied by inscription of “DEPUTI GUBERNUR SENIOR” and signature of a Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia and the inscription of “DEPUTI GUBERNUR”; j) background and filler consisting of wavy, slanted lines and a series of lines curved in the shape of Borneo ornaments;

1. left of the portrait of the main image which fill nominal “2000” with “BANK INDONESIA” words;
2. upper left and underneath main image of “BANK INDONESIA” words forming Borneo ornament;
3. on the edge of the Borneo ornament in the form of DUARIBURUPIAH in the form of circular;
4. left edge and middle right form of “BANKINDONESIA” words arranged horizontally; l) minitext is small size text legible without a magnifying glass above and below the watermark in the form of the words BANKINDONESIA shaped curves with different text size.

2. reverse side a) main image of a Dayak Traditional Dance, Borneo and to the left inscription of “TARIAN ADAT DAYAK” words; b) to the upper right of the main image, the inscription of “BANK INDONESIA”; c) below the main image, the inscription of “DENGAN RAHMAT TUHAN YANG MAHA ESA, BANK INDONESIA MENGELUARKAN UANG SEBAGAI ALAT PEMBAYARAN YANG SAH DENGAN NILAI DUA RIBU RUPIAH” ((by the Grace of God the Almighty, Bank Indonesia hereby issues this currency as legal tender to the value of two thousand rupiahs); d) the number “2000” representing face value, inscribed horizontally to the lower left and vertically on the upper left; e) serial number consisting of 3 (three) letters and 6 (six) digits, located to the lower left of the banknote and printed in black ink that will glow with a greenish color under ultraviolet light, and on the upper right, below the inscription of “BANK INDONESIA”, printed in red ink that will glow with a yellowish color under ultraviolet light; f) to the upper right, below the serial number, a rectoverso picture that if held up to the light will reveal a complete logo of Bank Indonesia;

1. middle left and right, form of BANKINDONESIA word inscribed horizontally;
2. right edge of the main image form of BANKINDONESIA word, forming vertical line;
3. to the lower right of the main image which inscribed “2000” nominal BANKINDONESIA word; i) minitext is small size text legible without a magnifying glass above and below the water mark in the form of the words BANKINDONESIA shaped curves with different text size. c. material the specifications of the paper are as follows:

1. made of cotton fiber;
2. length 141 mm and width 65 mm;
3. grey color;
4. does not glow under ultraviolet light;
5. water mark depicting the National Hero Pangeran Antasari;
6. woven security thread and inscribed “BI2000” words repeatedly.
7. Between Article 4 and Article 5 was inserted 1 (one) Article, namely an Article 4A, as follow: Article 4A The specifications of the currency in the 2,000 (two thousand) rupiah denomination referred to in Article 1, for year of print starting from Desember 2010, are: a. color the dominant color printed on the obverse and reverse sides of the banknote is grey.

Article II The Banknotes 2,000 (two thousand) Rupiah denomination issued by Bank before the enactment of this Bank Indonesia Regulation, are declared still remain as a legal tender along has not been revoked and withdrawn from circulation. Article III This Bank Indonesia Regulation shall come into force on the date of its enactment.
