The Minister of Finance of Belize issued these regulations to amend the Exchange Control Regulations. The instrument repeals Part IX and Schedules 5 through 9, which previously governed the licensing of Cambios. Additionally, it renumbers Part X and Regulation 54 to Part IX and Regulation 45 respectively, with the changes taking effect on July 11, 2005.

REGULATIONS made by the Minister responsible for exchange control, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 3 of the Exchange Control Regulations Act, Chapter 52 of the Substantive Laws of Belize, Revised Edition 2003, and all other powers thereunto enabling.

EXCHANGE CONTROL (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 2005,
and shall be read and construed as one with the Exchange Control Regulations which, as amended, are hereinafter referred to as the principal Regulations. Sub Leg. Vol. 1 1991 Edn Cap. 43 SI 182/01 31/02.
Part IX of the principal Regulations, as amended, [relating to the licensing of Cambios] containing Regulations 45 to 53, is hereby repealed. Repeal of Part IX - Cambios SI 182/01 31/02.
The Fifth Schedule, Sixth Schedule, Seventh Schedule, Eighth Schedule and Ninth Schedule to the principal Regulations, as amended, [relating to the licensing of Cambios] are hereby repealed. Repeal of Schedules 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. SI 182/01 31/02.
2 Exchange Control Regulations [No. 84
Renumbering of Part X and of Regulation 54. 4. Part X of the principal Regulations [relating to Out-of-Court Settlements] is hereby renumbered as Part IX and Regulation 54 is hereby renumbered as Regulation 45.
Commencement. 5. These Regulations shall come into force on 11th July, 2005.
