Financial Institutions (Consolidated Supervision) Regulations, 2010

Issued by the Central Bank of Uganda under the Financial Institutions Act, 2004, these Regulations establish consolidated supervision requirements for all licensed financial institutions. They mandate annual and quarterly reporting on affiliates, subsidiaries, associates, and controlling persons to ensure accurate risk assessment across financial and conglomerate groups. The framework enforces solo and consolidated compliance with capital adequacy, credit concentration, and insider lending limits, while granting the Central Bank authority to conduct examinations, approve group reconstructions, and impose administrative sanctions or penalties for non-compliance.
