PF Circular 82: Final Registration of Provisionally Registered Pension Funds

The South African Registrar of Pension Funds requires administrators of privately administered funds and pension fund insurers to submit final registration applications for all entities provisionally registered for three years or longer. These applications must be consolidated under section 12(5) of the Pension Funds Act by 31 January 1994, with no registration fees payable for this one-off exercise. The Registrar clarifies that this consolidation merely formalizes existing provisional statuses and does not alter current legislation or regulatory policy.
