Proposed Requirements for Press Releases on Financial Results of Public Listed Shareholding Companies

## Consultation: Proposed Requirements for Press Releases on Financial Results of Public Listed Shareholding Companies
As a part of the CBB’s on-going objective to enhance its regulatory framework, and with reference to the Central Bank of Bahrain’s (CBB) Disclosure Standards and Article 3 of Resolution No. 5 of 2015 with respect to Disclosure of Financial Statements and Board of Directors’ Meeting, I enclose for your comments the proposed requirements for press releases on financial results of public listed shareholding companies, including a template for the press releases.
The objective of the proposed requirements is to improve the disclosure and transparency of the public listed shareholding companies when publishing press releases on the financial results and to provide protection for shareholders and investors by disclosing comprehensive and accurate press releases, so that shareholders and investors can determine the financial performance of the public listed shareholding company in a correct and comprehensive manner, and to avoid any potential misleading statements in the press release.
You are kindly requested to review the attached requirements (both in Arabic and English), and to provide the CBB with your comments electronically, including ‘nil comment’, to the Director – Capital Markets Supervision Directorate, Mrs. Abeer Al Saad via email: **aalsaad@ccb.gov.bh** and CBB Consultation Team at **consultaion@ccb.gov.bh** by 28th June 2018.
