The Saudi Central Bank issued a circular requiring all banks, financing companies, and insurers operating in the Kingdom to conclude membership agreements with Bayan Credit Bureau Company and share credit information in compliance with the Credit Information System and its Executive Regulations. This mandate aims to enhance transparency, improve data quality for small and medium-sized enterprises, and strengthen risk management across financial institutions by ensuring complete, high-quality consumer credit reports. Consequently, regulated entities must align their data-sharing practices with the established legal framework to accurately assess financial obligations and creditworthiness.

Subject: Sharing Credit Information With Bayan Credit Bureau.
Based on the Credit Information System issued by Royal Decree No. (M/37) dated 1429/7/5 AH, and its Executive Regulations issued by the Governor's Decision No. (A.Q./13709) dated 1432/9/22 AH, and in continuation of the Authority's instructions issued under Circular No. 381000058506 dated 1438/6/1 AH, and Circular No. 38477/67 dated 1440/6/20 AH.
In the Authority's efforts to support the commercial sector in general and enhance the quality of credit information related specifically to the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) sector, thereby strengthening transparency levels and assisting in assessing the volume of financial obligations and creditworthiness of companies operating in this sector, while increasing risk management effectiveness across all financial institutions through complete credit information and the emergence of high-quality consumer credit reports.
The Authority urges banks, commercial banks, financing companies, and insurance sector companies operating in the Kingdom to conclude membership agreements with Bayan Credit Bureau Company, and to share credit information with the company in accordance with the Credit Information System, its Executive Regulations, and the membership agreements with the company.
