Circular No. 8/2025: Closure of Specialized Lending Institutions for Easter and International Workers' Day
The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 8/2025 mandating that all specialized lending institutions in Palestine remain closed on Sunday, April 20, 2025, for Easter, and on Thursday, May 1, 2025, for International Workers' Day. This directive is issued pursuant to Article 22 of Decision No. 132 of 2011 concerning the licensing and supervision of specialized lending institutions. The Governor also extended holiday greetings to all employees in the sector.

Subject: Easter and International Workers' Day Holidays
Based on the provisions of Article No. (22) of Decision No. (132) of 2011 concerning the system of licensing and supervision of specialized lending institutions and its amendments, and based on the approved decision of the Council of Ministers, it has been decided to suspend work in all specialized lending institutions operating in Palestine on Sunday, April 20, 2025, in observance of Easter, and on Thursday, May 1, 2025, in observance of International Workers' Day.
On these two occasions, I extend congratulations to all employees of lending institutions in Palestine, and we ask God to bring them back to our Palestinian people with their wishes fulfilled for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its holy capital.
