Insurance Intermediaries (Restriction on Advertising) Regulations 2020
The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority issued these Regulations under the Insurance Act 2008 to restrict advertising by overseas insurance intermediaries targeting Isle of Man residents. The rules treat an overseas person as carrying on business in the Island if they solicit business through advertisements targeted at or disseminated to Isle of Man persons. An exception is provided for sponsorship materials that communicate only the brand name without promoting specific products or services.
