Notice of 2011 Annual Workshop on Trade Facilitation

The Central Bank of Nigeria is hosting a 2011 Annual Workshop on Trade Facilitation from February 21 to 24 at the Amber-Tinapa Hotel in Calabar. The workshop, focusing on issues such as trade facilitation and the national trade policy, will attract a fee of ₦80,000 per participant and will offer presentations by experts in fields like banking, economics, finance, and international trade. Authorized dealers are encouraged to send their nominees with bank drafts made payable to "Central Bank of Nigeria - FEM Training Account" before February 17 for both runs on a first-come, first-served basis.

E-mail address:ted@cenbank.org Central Bank of Nigeria Central Business District P.M.B. 0187 Garki, Abuja TO: ALL AUTHORISED DEALERS NOTICE OF 2011 ANNUAL WORKSHOP ON TRADE FACILITATION HOLDING AT AMBER-TINAPA HOTEL, CALABAR, FROM MONDAY, 21ST TO THURSDAY 24 TH FEBRUARY, 2011 _ This is to inform all Authorised Dealers that the year 2011 Annual Workshop for Foreign Exchange Officers has been scheduled to hold at Amber-Tinapa Hotel, Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort, Adiabor, Calabar, Cross River State, from Monday, 21st to Thursday, 24 th February, 2011, with the main theme: "Trade Facilitation in Nigeria: Prospects and Challenges".

The Workshop will hold in two runs of two (2) days each. It will focus on issues such as: Trade Facilitation: The Role of Banks and Organised Private Sector in Nigeria; and, the National Trade Policy. Presentations will be made by experts and seasoned practitioners in the fields of Banking, Economics, Finance, International Trade, etc. The programme commences at 9.00 a.m. daily.

The Workshop attracts a fee of ₦80,000.00 (Eighty thousand naira only) per participant and covers workshop bag and materials, group lunch, tea/coffee and snacks but excludes accommodation and other meals.

Authorised Dealers are enjoined to forward the names of their nominees (desk officers) together with bank draft made payable to "Central Bank of Nigeria - FEM Training Account". The draft should be sent to the Assistant Director, Policy Formulation and Implementation Office, Trade & Exchange Department, CBN, Abuja or the Senior Manager, Customer Service Office, Trade & Exchange Department, Lagos, on or before February 17, 2011, to enable us conclude arrangements before take-off on Monday, February 21, 2011.

Please note that participation will be on first-come, first-served basis.
