Decision on the establishment of an Information and Data Committee and appointment of a Chief Data Officer within the EBA
The European Banking Authority issued Decision EBA/DC/530 to establish an Information and Data Committee (IDC) and designate the Director of the Data Analytics, Reporting and Transparency Department as the Chief Data Officer (CDO). The IDC, chaired by the Executive Director, is tasked with overseeing strategic decisions regarding the EBA's data strategy, records management policies, and data governance structures. This decision simultaneously replaces the previous Information Management Steering Committee and defines the CDO's responsibilities for implementing data strategy and coordinating IDC activities.
