Bank of Zambia Circular 24/2001 on Restructuring the Financial System Supervision Department

The Bank of Zambia has dissolved its Financial System Supervision Department and established separate Bank Supervision and Non-Bank Financial Institution Supervision departments under new directors. All regulatory oversight, supervisory matters, and prudential return submissions must now be routed directly to the respective departmental heads. Corresponding contact numbers are provided to ensure seamless communication for future compliance and operational inquiries.

## FINANCIAL SYSTEM SUPERVISION DEPARTMENT

This serves to inform you that the Financial System Supervision Department has been dissolved and split into two departments, **Bank Supervision Department** and **Non-Bank Financial Institution Supervision Department** headed by Mr Morris Mulomba and Ms Edna Mwaala Mudenda as directors respectively.

Accordingly, all supervisory and regulatory issues relating to banks and non-bank financial institutions including submission of prudential returns should be channelled to the respective heads.
