The Council of the Central Bank of Montenegro issued this decision to amend existing regulations governing medals and tokens resembling euro coins. Article 5 is updated to replace all references to the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN). Article 7 is amended to mandate that revoking non-compliant medals or tokens must be imposed alongside penalties for related offences, with the decision taking effect eight days after its official publication.
Pursuant to Article 44 paragraph 2 point 3 and in conjunction with Article 27 of the Central Bank of Montenegro Law (OGM 40/10, 46/10, 06/13, 70/17), the Council of the Central Bank of Montenegro, at its meeting held on 7 September 2018, passed the following DECISION Amending the Decision on Medals and Tokens Similar to Euro Coins Article 1 In the Decision on Medals and Tokens Similar to Euro Coins (OGM 44/14), in Aritcle 5 paragraph 3, the words “to the European Commission - European Anti-Fraud Office (hereinafter: the OLAF)” shall be replaced by the following: “European Commission - Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN)”. In paragraph 4 the word “OLAF”, shall be replaced by the following “DG ECFIN”. Article 2 (In Article 7 paragraph 1 point 1 in the original Montenegrin version the typing error has been corrected). After paragraph 3 new paragraph shall be added, worded as follows: “A protective measure of revoking medals and tokens similar to euro coins subject to offences shall be imposed together with the imposing of measures for offences referred to in paragraphs 1 through 3 above.” Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on the eighth day following that of its publication in the Official Gazette of Montenegro.
