The Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a decision to amend the operational rules for the clearing system. The amendment adds a new paragraph allowing the Governor to designate non-working days as working days in exceptional cases to meet business needs. Participants must receive written notice at least eight days in advance of any such change.
Pursuant to Article 2, paragraph (3), item c), Article 7, paragraph (1), item b), and Article 70 of the Law on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of BiH", nos. 1/97, 29/02, 8/03, 13/03, 14/03, 9/05, 76/06, and 32/07), the Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its 13th meeting held on December 20, 2025, adopts
Decision on Amending the Decision on Operational Rules for the Clearing System
Article 1. In the Decision on Operational Rules for the Clearing System ("Official Gazette of BiH", no. 37/19), after paragraph (3) of Article 4, paragraph (4) is added, which reads:
"(5) In exceptional cases, when business needs require it, the Governor of the Central Bank may determine that one of the days designated as a non-working day in accordance with paragraph (2) of this Article shall be a working day. In such a case, the Central Bank shall notify all participants in writing at least eight days prior to the day designated for work."
Article 2. (1) This Decision shall enter into force on the eighth day following its publication in the "Official Gazette of BiH". (2) This Decision shall also be published in the "Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH", the "Official Gazette of the Republic of Srpska", and the "Official Gazette of the Brčko District of BiH".
