Draft Unified GCC Law on Commercial Security

The Central Bank of Bahrain requests feedback from retail banks and financing companies on the Secretariat General of the GCC’s draft Unified Law on Commercial Security. Submissions must be sent electronically in an editable format to consultation@cbb.gov.bh by 27 February 2020, including explicit nil responses. This consultation process finalizes the regulatory framework designed to standardize commercial security arrangements and accelerate economic integration across GCC member states.

**Consultation Paper: Draft Unified GCC Law on Commercial Security**  

As a part of its on-going efforts to further strengthen the economic integration of the GCC countries, the Secretariat General of the GCC is currently discussing a draft Unified GCC Law on Commercial Security. The CBB will display the draft law on its website (www.cbb.gov.bh) under the consultation section.  

You are kindly requested to review the draft Law to provide the CBB with your comments, including ‘nil comments’. Responses must be sent electronically, in an editable format, to consultation@cbb.gov.bh by 27<sup>th</sup> February, 2020.
