Bangladesh Bank’s Payment Systems Department-2 issues Circular Letter No. 03 to mandate revised operating hours for BACH and RTGS transactions effective 05 April 2026. The directive aligns with Supervisory Data Management & Analytics Department guidelines, specifying that BACH clearing sessions will follow updated presentment and return cut-off times, while BEFTN sessions retain their prior schedule. For RTGS, the circular establishes distinct processing windows for BDT and foreign currency transactions across customer, online platform, and interbank fund transfer categories, applicable on all working days excluding weekly and government holidays until further notice.

Dear Sir,

Regarding the scheduling of BACH and RTGS transactions effective 05 April 2026.

In continuation of the SDM Circular Letter No. 05 dated 04 April 2026 from the Supervisory Data Management & Analytics Department, it is informed that, effective 05 April 2026 and until further notice, BACH and RTGS transactions will be conducted on working days (excluding weekly and government holidays) according to the schedule below.

  1. Bangladesh Automated Clearing House (BACH) Transactions: a) BACPS High Value Clearing - Presentment Cut off Time: 12:00 PM,
  • Return Cut off Time: 2:00 PM Regular Value Clearing - Presentment Cut off Time: 12:30 PM,
  • Return Cut off Time: 4:00 PM b) On the aforementioned days, the three BEFTN sessions will remain operational according to the previous schedule.
  1. All types of Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) transactions:
