The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Instructions No. 6 of 2024 to amend the regulatory framework for banking fees and commissions. The document postpones the implementation of Article 5 of the original 2023 Instructions until new specific regulations are issued. Additionally, it suspends the repeal of the 2021 Instructions regarding the cash deposit commission for the Israeli Shekel.
Concerning Banking Fees and Commissions
Based on the provisions of Law No. (9) of 2010 Concerning Banks, particularly Articles (40, 72) thereof,
After reviewing Instructions No. (4) of 2023,
In accordance with the powers delegated to us,
And in pursuit of the public interest,
We have issued the following Instructions:
The following words and phrases shall have the meanings specified below, unless the context indicates otherwise:
Original Instructions: Instructions No. (4) of 2023 Concerning Banking Fees and Commissions.
The implementation of the provisions of Article (5) of the Original Instructions is postponed until new instructions are issued regarding this matter,
Provided that Instructions No. (6) of 2021 Concerning the Cash Deposit Commission for the Israeli Shekel shall apply.
The repeal of Instructions No. (6) of 2021 Concerning the Cash Deposit Commission for the Israeli Shekel, as stated in Article (16) paragraph (3) of the Original Instructions, is suspended.
