Notice No. 05-2015 of April 20, 2015: Angola Payment System - Standardized Cheque
The Bank of Angola issued Notice No. 05-2015 to establish technical requirements for standardized cheque forms to enhance security and enable automated image processing. The regulation mandates that all authorized financial institutions participate in the interbank cheque clearing system and adhere to strict production, storage, and validity periods ranging from six to twenty-four months. It revokes previous notice No. 24/12 and stipulates that violations are punishable under Law No. 13/05.
