The Central Bank of Libya declares Wednesday, October 23, 2019, as an official Liberation Day holiday and Thursday, October 24, 2019, as a leave day to be deducted from employee balances, with work resuming on Sunday, October 27, 2019. This directive is issued pursuant to Law No. 1 of 2005 and Article 17 of the Executive Regulations of Law No. 12 of 2010, mandating that all supervised banks and financial service companies observe these adjusted working days. The notice further distributes copies to relevant internal departments, branch managers, and compliance units for implementation and follow-up.

Based on the provisions of Law No. (1) of 2005 concerning Banks and its amendments, and within the framework of the Central Bank of Libya's supervisory and regulatory role over banks.
We inform you that the upcoming Wednesday, October 23, 2019, is an official holiday in observance of Liberation Day. Pursuant to Article (17) of the Executive Regulations of Law No. (12) of 2010 on Labor Relations, which stipulates that a leave day may be granted for the working day falling between the weekly holiday and the official holiday.
Therefore, it is decided that the upcoming Thursday, October 24, 2019, shall be a leave day, to be deducted from the employee's leave balance, and work will resume on Sunday, October 27, 2019.
