FMU status declared as Autonomous Body
The Federal Government of Pakistan has officially designated the Financial Monitoring Unit (FMU) as an autonomous body of the Federal Government. This notification is issued under the authority of subsection (2) of Section 6 of the Anti Money Laundering Act, 2010. The status change is effective immediately and serves as a continuation of the previous Finance Division Notification SRO 84 (KE)/2007.
