Status of Previously Issued Guidance Notes (G1-2024)
The South African Reserve Bank issues Guidance Note G1-2024 to confirm the continuing validity of forty-two previously issued guidance notes for banks, foreign branches, controlling companies, and auditors. All prior guidance notes are automatically deemed withdrawn or replaced unless explicitly listed as effective in this annual notification, retaining their original numbering and dates. Institutions must retain copies of the confirmed notes and return a jointly signed acknowledgement of receipt to the Prudential Authority alongside their chief executive officer and auditors.
