Directive No. 13/DRO/2023 on the Reporting of Employee Information by Financial Institutions

DIRECTIVE NO. 13/DRO/2023 Page 1 of 5 DIRECTIVE NO. 13/DRO/2023 ORIGIN: Department of Regulation and Organization of the Financial System DATE 08/12/2023 SUBJECT: FINANCIAL SYSTEM - Reporting of Information on Employees of Financial Institutions

Whereas it is necessary to define the rules for reporting statistical information regarding the employee profile of Financial Institutions, aiming to ensure the creation of a database at the National Bank of Angola; In accordance with the combined provisions of item a) of Article 25 of Law No. 14/21, dated May 19, General Regime for Financial Institutions Law, Article 20 and item f) of paragraph 1 of Article 31 both of Law No. 24/21, dated October 18, National Bank of Angola Law. This Directive serves to establish the following:

  1. Financial Institutions subject to the supervision of the National Bank of Angola must report information on their employees, within 30 (thirty) days after the end of each quarter, according to Template 1 in Annex II of this Directive, which is an integral part thereof.
  2. For the purposes of the foregoing, Financial Institutions must observe the information reporting procedures set forth in Annex I of this Directive and integral part thereof.
  3. Until the automated application becomes available, information required under this Directive must be reported in Excel format to the electronic address DRO_ORGANIZACAO@bna.ao.

DIRECTIVE NO. 13/DRO/2023 Page 2 of 5 4. Information reported by Financial Institutions must be final; provisional data are not permitted. 5. Whenever an error is found in the reported information, the National Bank of Angola shall notify the Institution for correction within a maximum period of 5 (five) days. 6. Non-compliance with this Directive constitutes an offense provided for and punishable under Law No. 14/21, dated May 19, General Regime for Financial Institutions Law. 7. Doubts and omissions arising from the interpretation and application of this Directive are resolved by the National Bank of Angola. 8. This Directive enters into force on the date of its publication.

I. Introduction This document presents the filling specifications of the form, for reporting statistical information on employees of Financial Institutions.

II. Description of the Form ➢ Form Header o Institution Code - Code identifying the Financial Institution reporting the information, according to the acronym list published on the BNA website; o Period - Indicate the reference date of information regarding employees in the Quarter; o Sequence - Indicate the numerical sequence reference represented by 1, the second 2, the third 3 and so on; o Function/Role - Indicate the function or position held by the employee in the institution; o Gender - fill in the employee's sex with M or F; o Academic education level - Fill in the qualification conferred by an officially recognized educational institution; o Specialized training - Fill in if the employee holds a certified specialization; o Number of specialized trainings - Fill in the number of trainings completed during the period; o Name of specialized training - fill in the name and indicate the most relevant ones; o Age - Fill in the age corresponding to the employee; o Person with a disability – Fill in if the employee has this condition; o Employee on internship or equivalent regime – Indicate if the employee is in this regime; o Employees admitted in the Quarter - Indicate if the employee was admitted during the period; o Employees dismissed in the Quarter - Indicate if the employee was dismissed during the period; o Reasons for termination of employment – Briefly indicate the reason for termination of employment. o Notes - fill in additional information whenever necessary.

III. Additional Notes o Fields without data must be filled with the number zero or N/A, when applicable; and, o The reasons for termination of employment must be described in up to 3 words.
