The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) issued guidelines to standardize the reporting obligations for Money Market Funds (MMFs) to competent authorities under Article 37 of the MMF Regulation. These guidelines specify the detailed data points, formats, and frequencies that fund managers must use when submitting regulatory reports to ensure consistent and timely information flow. The European Supervisory Authorities aim to enhance the effectiveness of supervisory oversight and facilitate the comparison of data across the European Union.
