The Financial Regulatory Authority of Egypt extends the registration renewal deadline for insurance and reinsurance brokers and trainees by two months, setting the new expiration date to August 22, 2020. This extension applies to all professionals registered with the Authority who were previously granted deadlines under Circular No. 11 of 2020 due to coronavirus-related precautionary measures. The decision aims to accommodate ongoing emergency circumstances while ensuring compliance with regulatory registration requirements.

Granting Trainees and Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers an Additional Deadline to Complete Registration/Renewal Procedures in
the Register of Insurance or Reinsurance Brokers
In the context of completing the state's efforts to contain the spread of the (Coronavirus) virus, and in accordance with the decisions of the Prime Minister to adopt certain precautionary measures by the state to confront the (Coronavirus) virus.
Further to the Authority's Circular No. 11 for the Year 2020 regarding granting trainees in the field of insurance brokerage, whose training period has exceeded one year after the date of 15/3/2020, a deadline until 22/6/2020 to complete registration procedures with the Authority's registers.
In light of the continuation of the same emergency circumstances and situations that necessitated the issuance of the aforementioned circular, the Authority has decided to extend the stipulated deadline for insurance or reinsurance brokers registered with the Authority's registers by two months, so that it expires on 22/8/2020 to complete the registration renewal procedures.
