Palestine Monetary Authority Circular No. 14/2025: Islamic New Year Holiday
The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 14/2025 to officially designate Thursday, June 26, 2025, as a public holiday for specialized lending institutions in Palestine to commemorate the Islamic New Year. This directive is issued pursuant to Article 22 of Decision No. 132 of 2011 regarding the licensing and supervision of specialized lending institutions and subsequent amendments. The circular concludes with formal greetings from Governor Yahya Al-Shennar to all staff members of the lending institutions.

Subject: Islamic New Year Holiday
Based on the provisions of Article No. (22) of Decision No. (132) of 2011 concerning the licensing and supervision system for specialized lending institutions and its amendments, and based on the approved Cabinet decision, it has been decided to consider Thursday, June 26, 2025, as an official holiday in celebration of the Islamic New Year.
On this blessed occasion, I extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to all employees of the lending institutions, and we ask God to return it to our Palestinian people with their wishes fulfilled in establishing the independent Palestinian state with its capital, Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem).
