Banking and Financial Services Act Commencement Order, 2018
The Government of Zambia, acting through the Minister of Finance, issued Statutory Instrument No. 38 of 2018 to formally activate the Banking and Financial Services Act, 2017. This commencement order mandates that the previously enacted legislation takes full legal effect immediately upon its publication on 18 May 2018. By establishing this effective date, the order enables the comprehensive regulatory framework for banking and financial services to be enforced nationwide.

The Banking and Financial Services Act
(Commencement) Order, 2018
IN EXERCISE of the powers contained in section 1 of the Banking and Financial Services Act, 2017, the following Order is made:
1. This Order may be cited as the Banking and Financial Services Act (Commencement) Order, 2018.
Title
2. The Banking and Financial Services Act, 2017, shall come into operation on the date of publication of this Order.
