The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has extended the deadline for Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) to report specific differential rights to March 31, 2025. This one-time reporting requirement applies to AIFs whose Private Placement Memorandums were filed with SEBI on or after March 1, 2020, and which issued rights not covered by Standard Setting Forum implementation standards. The extension was granted in response to industry representations requesting additional time to ensure ease of compliance with the previously mandated February 28, 2025 deadline.
