Microfinance (Microcredit Agency) (Amendment) Directive 2025
The Registrar of Financial Institutions, Dr. MacDonald Mafuta Mwale, issued the Microfinance (Microcredit Agency) (Amendment) Directive 2025 to amend paragraph 5 of the 2018 Microcredit Agency Directive. The directive deletes existing subparagraph (2) and renumbers the former subparagraph (3) to assume that position. Enacted under section 57(1) of the Microfinance Act on 15 July 2025, these structural adjustments streamline regulatory reporting requirements for licensed microcredit agencies.

MICROFINANCE (MICROCREDIT AGENCY) (AMENDMENT) DIRECTIVE, 2025
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 57 (1) of the Microfinance Act, I, DR. MACDONALD MAFUTA MWALE, Registrar of Financial Institutions, issue the following Directive—
Citation 1. This Directive may be cited as Microfinance (Microcredit Agency) (Amendment) Directive, 2025.
Amendment of para. 5 to GN. 49/2018 2. The Microfinance (Microcredit Agency) Directive, 2018 is amended, in paragraph 5, by—
(a) deleting subparagraph (2); and
(b) renumbering subparagraph (3) as subparagraph (2).
