Joint ABE and ESMA Guidelines on the Assessment of the Fit and Proper Status of Members of the Management Body of Token Issuers and Crypto-Asset Service Providers

The AMF applies the joint guidelines issued by the ABE and ESMA regarding the assessment of the fit and proper status of the management bodies of crypto-asset issuers and service providers under the MiCA regulation. These orientations, applicable from July 2, 2025, establish the criteria for evaluating the suitability of individuals holding key positions within these entities. The document serves as a reference for regulatory compliance with the European Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation.
