Circular No. 8/2025: Closure for Easter and International Workers' Day
The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 8/2025 mandating that all payment service companies operating in Palestine suspend operations on Sunday, April 20, 2025, for Easter and Thursday, May 1, 2025, for International Workers' Day. This directive is issued pursuant to Decision No. 41 of 2022 concerning National Payments and in reference to a Cabinet resolution. The Governor also extended holiday greetings to the sector's workforce while expressing hope for the realization of Palestinian statehood with Jerusalem as its capital.

Subject: Closure for Easter and International Workers' Day
Based on the provisions of Decision No. (41) of 2022 concerning National Payments, and in reference to the esteemed Cabinet decision, it has been decided to suspend work in all payment service companies operating in Palestine on Sunday, April 20, 2025, on the occasion of Easter, and on Thursday, May 1, 2025, on the occasion of International Workers' Day.
On these two occasions, I extend congratulations to all employees of payment service companies in Palestine, and we ask God to return them to our Palestinian people with the fulfillment of their aspirations for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
