The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) mandates that Asset Management Companies monitor daily compliance with the INR 10 lakh minimum investment threshold for Specialized Investment Funds. In the event of an active breach, the regulator requires the immediate freezing of the investor's units and the issuance of a 30-day notice to rebalance investments. If the investor fails to restore the required threshold within this period, the AMC must automatically redeem the frozen units at the next business day's Net Asset Value.
