2024-07-16 | C653The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission issued Circular C653 to inform regulated entities that the Unit for Combating Money Laundering (MOKAS) has published its 2023 Annual Report. The report provides operational, strategic, and statistical analysis of suspicious activity reports while highlighting key developments such as the private-public partnership model and the establishment of a Virtual Assets and FinTech sub-department. CySEC encourages all regulated entities to study the document to understand emerging money laundering threats and red flags associated with digital technologies and cryptocurrency assets.
