The Banking Board of Ecuador issued Resolution No. JB-2015-3477 to reject the appeal for reconsideration filed by Ms. Mónica Alexandra Jaya Gómez against a previous decision regarding her complaint with Banco de Guayaquil. The Board confirmed the prior resolution which had partially accepted the client's claim for reimbursement of disputed transaction values while excluding costs associated with transactions for which SMS notifications were allegedly sent. The decision was based on the finding that the appellant failed to provide evidence that the bank had not notified her of the withdrawals via her mobile phone.
