The Central Bank of Kuwait has issued a comprehensive set of miscellaneous instructions mandating Islamic and local banks to enhance regulatory compliance, operational transparency, and internal governance. Banks must promptly present inspection findings to their boards, submit monthly statements on foreign charity transfers, strictly load ATMs with sorted currency notes, and utilize Civil ID numbers for all customer transactions. The directives also require prior committee consultation for prisoners of war accounts, designated staff supervision of regulatory adherence, standardized staffing practices, and the confidential application of the CAMEL performance evaluation system.
