Perimeter Guidance – Provision of Registered Office
The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority issues this guidance to clarify that providing registered office or accommodation address services constitutes a regulated activity under Class 4 of the Regulated Activities Order 2011. Providers must determine if they require a license, noting that the exclusion for landlords rarely applies to shared office spaces and the domestic services exemption is strictly limited to local resident entities. Even when exempt from licensing, service providers remain subject to anti-money laundering obligations under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2008 and must comply with the AML/CFT Code 2019.
