Decision on Temporary Measures for Lessors Aimed at Adequate Management of Credit Risk in the Portfolio of Leases of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment in Conditions of Aggravated Agricultural Production
The National Bank of Serbia mandates lessors to approve lease rescheduling for agricultural machinery lessees who were not in arrears longer than 90 days as of May 31, 2022. Lessors must provide a grace period of six to twelve months during which principal repayment is halted while interest continues to accrue, ensuring that post-grace annuity payments do not exceed original amounts. The regulation requires lessors to notify eligible lessees by October 31, 2022, and submit monthly reports on approved rescheduling to the central bank.
