Bank of Zambia Circular 01/2003: Calendar for Submission of Prudential Returns

The Bank of Zambia issued Circular 01/2003 to establish the mandatory submission schedule for monthly Prudential Returns from all commercial banks and financial institutions throughout 2003. Each monthly report must be filed by a specified date in the following month, with the final December return due by 15 January 2004. Strict compliance is enforced through a daily penalty of K 100,000 for any late, inaccurate, or non-diskette submissions.

## CALENDAR FOR SUBMISSION OF PRUDENTIAL RETURNS

Further to our Circular No. 1/98 dated 21 January 1998, please be informed that the due dates for submission of Prudential Returns for year 2003 are as follows:

| April      | 15 May 2003      |
| May        | 13 June 2003     |
| June       | 16 July 2003     |
| July       | 15 August 2003   |
| August     | 12 September 2003 |
| September  | 14 October 2003  |
| October    | 14 November 2003 |
| November   | 12 December 2003 |
| December   | 15 January 2004  |

Please note that a penalty of K 100,000 per return per day will be levied for any delayed submissions or incorrect returns. The penalty will also apply to non-submission of all Prudential Returns on Diskettes.
