APPOINTMENT OF INDUSTRY STEERING COMMITTEE MEMBERS ON THE RTGS UPGRADE AND ISO 20022 MIGRATION PROJECT

Reference is made to CB Circular No. 08/2023 relating to the upgrade of the Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system and the ISO 20022 messaging standard preparedness activities.

The upgrade of the RTGS system and ISO 20022 migration project has reached a critical stage of conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) involving all RTGS participants. To ensure effective oversight of the industry wide UAT and other RTGS upgrade and ISO 20022 migration project tasks, the Bank of Zambia is in the process of forming the Industry Steering Committee. In this regard, commercial banks are requested to nominate their Chief Operations Officers/Heads of Operations as representatives on the Industry Steering Committee of the RTGS/ISO 20022 upgrade project.

For ease of reference on the scheduled industry wide UAT (community testing), please find attached RTGS/ISO 20022 upgrade testing plan. The confirmation of the nominations should be sent to Mrs. Maria Katepa on email, mkatepa@boz.zm by Friday, July 28, 2023.
