Circular No. (38 / 2023) To all banks operating in Palestine Date: Sunday, 12 February, 2023

Subject: The Fifth Issue of the (50) Jordanian Dinar Banknote

In light of the Central Bank of Jordan's issuance of a new fifth series banknote in the (50) Jordanian Dinar denomination, immediate measures are required to accept transactions with the new issue; including:

  1. Preparing counting and automated teller machines (ATMs) to accept counting and inspecting the new series banknotes alongside the current series of the same denomination.
  2. Training staff on the security features of the currency to enable them to distinguish any forgery or counterfeiting.
  3. Raising customer awareness regarding the new issue and its key security features.
