Notice Of 2013 Annual Workshop On Foreign Exchange Management Issues Holding From 3rd to 7th June, 2013 In Lagos - UPDATED!

The Central Bank of Nigeria's Trade and Exchange Department is hosting the 2013 Annual Workshop on Foreign Exchange Management issues at Best Western Plus Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos, from June 3rd to 7th. The main theme is "Non-Oil Export as a Veritable Source of Foreign Exchange Earnings: Challenges and Opportunities." The workshop will focus on developments, financing, and opportunities in the non-oil export sector and will be conducted in two separate sessions of two days each. The fee for participation is N90,000 per person, which includes materials and catering except accommodation. Authorised dealers are required to submit payment advice and their nominees' names by May 28th. Attendance will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Each authorised dealer is encouraged to nominate at least two representatives for each session.

This is to inform All Authorised Dealers that the year 2013 Annual Workshop for Foreign Exchange Officers has been scheduled to hold at Best Western plus Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos, Lagos State, from Monday, 3rd to Friday, 7th June, 2013, with the main theme: "Non-Oil Export as a Veritable Source of Foreign Exchange Earnings: Challenges and Opportunities" The Workshop will hold in two runs of two (2) days each. It will focus on issues such as Developments, Financing and Opportunities in the Non-Oil Export Sector.

Presentations will be by experts and seasoned practitioners in the fields of Banking, International Trade, etc. The programme commences at 9.00 a.m. daily.

The workshop attracts a fee of N90, 000.00(Ninety Thousand Naira Only) per participant and covers workshop bag and materials, group lunch, tea/coffee and snacks but excludes accommodation and other meals.

Authourised Dealers are enjoined to forward the names of their nominees (desk officers) with payment advice made into account number 0020003890091 'Central Bank of Nigeria- FEM Training Account'. The payment advice should be sent to the Assistant Director, Policy Formulation and Implementation Office, Trade & Exchange Department, CBN, Abuja or Assistant Director Customer Service Office Trade & Exchange Department, Lagos, on or before 28™ May _, 2013, to enable us conclude arrangements before take-off on Monday 3rd June 2013.
