The circular requires all commercial banks, non-bank financial institutions, and payment system service providers to nominate two staff members to attend a dedicated data collection workshop on June 7, 2018. FRAMEWORK FOR COLLECTING SEX DISAGGREGATED DATA
The Bank of Zambia (BoZ) has embarked on a project to establish a framework for collecting and analysing sex disaggregated data. The purpose of collecting sex-disaggregated data is to determine the levels of access and usage of financial services, identify barriers to women financial inclusion and inform the formulation of policies for the purpose of creating an enabling environment for the promotion of women’s financial inclusion in the medium to long term in Zambia.
The BoZ has partnered with other key stakeholders to work towards bridging the financial inclusion gender gap and implores all financial service providers to play their part in contributing to the achievement of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy.
In order to meet these objectives, the BoZ will hold a workshop on Thursday, June 7, 2018 in the Bank of Zambia Auditorium at 09:00 hours for the financial service providers. You are therefore, requested to nominate two members of staff to attend the workshop, preferably those that will be directly involved in providing the information during the survey.
Please note that the names of the attendees may be submitted to the following: Mr. Inigo Mulaisho on imulaisho@boz.zm, Ms. Namangolwa Sinengele on nsinengele@boz.zm, and Ms. Chibeka K. Banda on ckbanda@boz.zm.
