The Central Bank of Libya issued Periodic Letter No. 116 (2015) to designate Sunday, October 25, 2015, as an official holiday in compensation for Friday, October 23, 2015. This directive applies to all commercial banks and related financial institutions under its supervision, mandating compliance with the official holiday schedule as outlined in Law No. (5) of 2012 and Article (17) of Law No. (12) of 2010. The decision ensures operational continuity by formally recognizing the compensatory holiday for banking and administrative operations nationwide.

Based on the provisions of Law No. (1) of 2005 regarding Banks, and in the context of the Central Bank of Libya's implementation of its supervisory and regulatory role over banks.
And with reference to Law No. (12) of 2010 and its executive regulations, which authorized Article (17) to grant compensation for weekly holidays if they coincide with official holidays.
And with reference to Law No. (5) of 2012 regarding Official Holidays, and its attached table designating Friday, October 23, 2015, as an official holiday.
We hereby inform you that it has been decided to designate Sunday, October 25, 2015, as an official holiday, in compensation for the official holiday that fell on Friday, October 23, 2015.
