Circular Letter No. 09: Preservation and Use of Information of Penalized Employees of Financial Institutions through CMMS (Corporate Memory Management System)

Bangladesh Bank mandates all financial institutions to preserve and utilize information regarding penalized employees through the Corporate Memory Management System (CMMS). This directive reinforces previous instructions issued in April 2019 and explicitly extends compliance requirements to non-bank financial institutions. All covered entities must strictly adhere to these preservation and usage protocols under Section 41(3) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 2023.

  1. With reference to the instructions regarding the preservation and use of information of penalized employees of financial institutions through CMMS (Corporate Memory Management System). This is to remind you that the instructions of Circular Letter No. 03 dated 10 April 2019 are to be followed.
  2. In this regard, the Bangladesh Bank has issued detailed instructions to all financial institutions regarding the preservation and use of information of penalized employees of financial institutions through CMMS (Corporate Memory Management System).
  3. Accordingly, instructions have also been issued to all financial institutions regarding the preservation and use of information of penalized employees of non-bank financial institutions under the same circular.
  4. This instruction has been issued under Section 41(3) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 2023 and the Bangladesh Bank Order, 2023. All financial institutions are required to comply with this instruction. Regards,
