Central Bank of Libya extends the acceptance period for high-value coins exceeding 250,000.000 Libyan Dinar through the Electronic Clearing Center (ECC) system exclusively for public sector entities until October 31, 2017. This directive implements previously established electronic and manual clearing rules by formally approving the extension requested by the Payments and Settlements Department, thereby ensuring continued operational continuity for public institutions handling large coin denominations. The circular mandates commercial banks and compliance units to apply this extension uniformly across all relevant clearing operations.
