Decision on the Issuance of 10 and 20 Fening Convertible Mark Coins
The Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a decision on February 28, 2025, to mint and circulate 10 and 20 fening coins of the Convertible Mark with a 2025 issue date. These coins are designated as legal tender throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, requiring all public and private entities to accept them at nominal value for cash transactions and debt settlement. The Central Bank will introduce the coins into circulation successively through its central office and branches according to inventory levels and an issuance plan, with the decision taking effect eight days after publication in official gazettes.
Pursuant to Article 2, paragraph (3), item h, Article 7, item a), Articles 39 and 45 of the Law on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of BiH", nos. 1/97, 29/02, 8/09, 13/03, 14/03, 09/05, 76/06 and 32/07), the Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its 2nd meeting held on February 28, 2025, adopts
DECISION on the issuance of 10 and 20 fening Convertible Mark coins
Article 1. (Introductory Provisions) The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has minted Convertible Mark coins (hereinafter: KM coins) in denominations of 10 and 20 fening, issue of 2025.
Article 2. (Basic Features and Design of KM Coins) The KM coins referred to in Article 1 of this Decision have the basic features and design established by the Decision on the Issuance, Basic Features and Circulation of 10, 20 and 50 Fening Coins ("Official Gazette of BiH", nos. 24/98 and 25/98), except that they are minted with the issue year "2025".
Article 3. (Legal Tender) In accordance with the Law on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all public and private institutions and establishments, legal and natural persons are obliged to accept the KM coins from this Decision at their nominal value as legal tender when offered in cash transactions, or in the settlement and payment of any obligations towards them, throughout the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Article 4. (Issuance of KM Coins into Circulation) Upon entry into force of this Decision, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina will, through the Central Office, main units and branches, issue the KM coins from this Decision into circulation successively, in accordance with the inventory of KM coin stocks and the plan for issuing KM coins into circulation.
Article 5. (Entry into Force) This Decision shall enter into force on the eighth day from the date of its publication in the "Official Gazette of BiH", and it shall also be published in the "Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH", the "Official Gazette of the Republika Srpska" and the "Official Gazette of the Brčko District of BiH".
