Uganda’s Collective Investment Scheme Assets Cross UGX 1 Trillion

The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) announced that licensed Collective Investment Scheme managers in Uganda have reached UGX 1.15 trillion in Assets Under Management, surpassing their strategic target three years ahead of schedule. This milestone reflects a 17.4% growth in assets and a 22.5% increase in investor accounts to 32,998, driven by heightened public awareness of the benefits of professional wealth management. Officials emphasized that these schemes offer attractive annualized returns of over 10% and provide risk diversification for investors starting with as little as UGX 100,000.
